How do you wash Under Armour clothing? 

It’s important to be careful when washing your Under Armour gear to avoid damage or shrinking.

How long has Under Armour been around?

Under Armour was birthed in 1996 by founder Kevin Plank. As a former college athlete himself, Plank was keenly aware of the importance of staying cool and comfortable during games and accordingly developed an undershirt with this goal in mind. 

Originally, Under Armour was sold out of Plank’s car and his grandmother’s home. He would also give away free shirts to his athlete friends, encouraging them to pass the shirts on to their own teammates. This was how Under Armour gathered traction within the athletic community, which eventually spilled over to the wider world. 

Where did Under Armour start?

Under Armour initially started in Washington, DC, as founder Kevin Plank had previously attended the University of Maryland there. However, in the early days, Plank would travel up and down the east coast of the USA selling his products, making Under Armour somewhat of a nomadic brand. Eventually, he moved to Baltimore to establish a more formal base for the business, followed by the current headquarters in Tide Point.
