The birth of the classic Nike Dunks
Taking inspiration from the Greek goddess of Victory, in 1964, Nike started a mission to improve how athletes move and inspire change in everything they do. In 1985, Nike Dunks hit the scene to give college basketballers more control to dribble and pivot easily. It quickly became a pivotal Nike shoe in its own right by sneakerheads and trendsetters wanting a piece of the action.
